RE
The aim of RE at Greenfields is to engage pupils' curiosity in contemplating and considering ‘human questions’ through:
Gaining a ‘collectively enough’ understanding of the underlying concepts and principles of the main world religions and their followers (Jewish People, Christians, Muslims and Hindus)
Studying and discussing religious and non-religious world views.
Developing an understanding of varied responses to such questions.
Exploring a range of ‘ways of knowing’ - e.g. texts, questioning people, artefacts, testimonials, and vignettes.
Our Curriculum:
Each Key Stage will have 3 key questions per learning experience linked with the 3 strands, which cover the 3 strands that correspond to RE syllabus aims. This syllabus is covered over a 2-year curriculum cycle.
3 Strands:
- Believing
- Expressing
- Living
