2024/25

 

In UKS2 children have been completing market research to design and create a product for a specific purpose (entertainment) and audience of their choice. Children sketched, designed and created prototypes before completing their final product (marble games and mazes). 

  

   

 LKS2 children had the opportunity to visit Newline Secondary School to create a delicious ratatouille for their parents, focusing on taste and presentation. They practised the bridge and claw technique to cut and prepare vegetables and parents were later invited to taste and evaluate the dishes. 

  

 

 

In KS1, children have been learning about the functioning of a moving picture book. Looking at three types of mechanisms (sliding, lever and wheel). Children began by analysing existing products and using this research to design and create their own creations.

       

 

   

Reception have been busy practising a variety of cutting and peeling techniques to prepare vegetables for their pumpkin soup!
